Daily Devotion for January 17, 2022

Imagine a large group of bullies beating an innocent man with a bat, that man screams, “OUCH! STOP HITTING ME!” the bullies tells him to shut up, it doesn’t hurt & continues to beat him. Knowing those bullies would attack others, the man begs them to stop hitting him, treat him with respect & don’t attack anybody else. After that man’s plea, they kill that man. As painful as that story was, it was harsh reality of the man we honor today, Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King promoted nonviolence for ALL humans to be treated equally, yet his life ended in violence. He spoke love in the midst of so much hate. Fast forward, 2022, how much of Dr. King’s dream is a reality? Not only are we have problems with race relations but domestic violence, poor education system, bad charactered law enforcers, bias judicial system, and senseless killings across the country. What is it gonna take for us to do right among each other? We say we love God, yet we hate God’s creation? God made ALL of us equal. Remember, how you treat God’s people show how you feel towards God. There’s no division in Heaven, so deal with it here on earth. Remember, there’s ONE race & it’s the HUMAN RACE! #If God bless America, will America bless all Americans? #We are one Nation under God! Be blessed! #brotherprater
