Daily Devotion for June 23, 2023

One day, a man prayed to God for a good home cooked meal. The next day, there were bags of grocery at his doorsteps. Later that night, the man prayed, “Lord! Thank you for the grocery, but will you send me a home cooked meal?” Immediately, thunder sounded, the house shook, the wind blew & a loud voice said, “I gave you all the ingredients for you to fix your own home cooked meal!” So often we ask God to bless us or give us things, but we miss the methods of how He wants us to have it. Sometimes, God wants to bless you with the skills to create what you’re asking Him for. You can’t be afraid to work harder for the things you desire. There’s an old saying, “Give a man a fish, you’ll feed him a day, but teach a man how to fish, you’ll feed him a lifetime.” See, we tend to appreciate things (or people) more when we have to work a little harder. So, the next time you ask God to move for you, He may want to move through you. Remember, God may not put it in your hands, He may put it within your reach. #Get up & make it happen #I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthen me! Be blessed! #brotherprater
