Daily Devotion for May 25, 2023

Why require love from others, but you don’t require love from yourself? (Some) folks may not give you the amount of love that you require or they may give you their “definition” of what love is (Which could be very different than what you need). Loving your 1st doesn’t mean that you’re selfish. You’re being RESPONSIBLE! You can’t rely on others to give you the essential things you need for your life. That is your responsibility! Whatever folks give you is optional, not mandatory. Allow God to help you to know you. You are loved by Him. He wants you to rely upon Him for your identity, security, meaning & purpose. He knew you while you were in your mother’s womb. He invested His spiritual gifts into you & gave you your personality to impact others. Although life experiences came your way, you overcame them. You have NO reason to hate or not be interested in YOU. So, the next time you’re about to love or treat others, ask yourself, “Did I take care of me 1st?” #Be good to yourself & for yourself! Be blessed! #brotherprater

When you let your growth & obedience in Christ Jesus be your focus in LIFE, then watch how clearer your vision will be. Rely on THE ONE who knows what’s ahead, instead of continuing to bump that big old head. Be blessed! #brotherprater

Daily Devotion for May 23, 2023

For someone who’s in a relationship.
Don’t allow that person to suppress you when God is trying to bless you. If they have an attitude, negative comments or discourage you from succeeding in life, you may want to rethink about building a life with them. Proverbs 10:22 tells us that the blessings of God maketh rich & adds no sorrow. Look at that person’s character very closely. Are they abusing you (physically, mentally, verbally or spiritually)? Do you feel uneasiness when you know you’re about to see them? Do they isolate you from your family & friends? Are they nonsupportive of your goal? No longer fool yourself or make anymore excuses for them. Ask God to help you to accept that’s who that person really is & to coat your heart as you do what you need to do to move on. Remember, God will order your steps when you stop taking orders from someone He didn’t approve of. #You can do it! Be blessed! #brotherprater

Daily Devotion for May 22, 2023

Through all we go through in life, God promised to help us through them all. We may not know or understand why we go through things or why things happen, but nothing is outside of God’s care about you. No matter how tough or how independent you are, don’t ever think that you have to deal things by yourself. Listen! We all have our limitations. So, don’t expect one man to do a 2 man job. In other words… Accept the help for your life. This doesn’t mean that you’re weak or ain’t save. You’re just using the tools God has provided for you. Let these words be a reminder to you that we care about you & want to help carry the load. Remember, it’s ok to take a break. Even Superman had to take off his uniform. #We are the Super Friends! Be blessed! #brotherprater
