Why require love from others, but you don’t require love from yourself? (Some) folks may not give you the amount of love that you require or they may give you their “definition” of what love is (Which could be very different than what you need). Loving your 1st doesn’t mean that you’re selfish. You’re being RESPONSIBLE! You can’t rely on others to give you the essential things you need for your life. That is your responsibility! Whatever folks give you is optional, not mandatory. Allow God to help you to know you. You are loved by Him. He wants you to rely upon Him for your identity, security, meaning & purpose. He knew you while you were in your mother’s womb. He invested His spiritual gifts into you & gave you your personality to impact others. Although life experiences came your way, you overcame them. You have NO reason to hate or not be interested in YOU. So, the next time you’re about to love or treat others, ask yourself, “Did I take care of me 1st?” #Be good to yourself & for yourself!
