Daily Devotion for July 18, 2020

Mr. John Lewis went from recieving injustice, badly beaten to become a Congressman & a great influencer. When he ran for Congress, his well spoken opponent talked down upon him made fun of him. Inspite of that, Mr Lewis won by a landslide. He had A LOT of excuses to give up or pass the work to other, BUT HE CHOSE TO FIGHT FOR IT HIMSELF! He just didn’t want change or just talk it, he got in position to make change. He was the last surviving member of the “Big Six” (the group of Black civil rights leaders who helped organize the 1963 March on March). My question is, are we (as young black men) in position to take over his task? Some of us are too busy fighting amongst ourselves, getting over on folks, & other senseless crap. Folks desiring change must do more than making a Facebook post, we must get into the political area. Just as Congressman Lewis fight & lived the example, you & I must do the same! #A Better Tomorrow Starts with Doing Something TODAY! #Thank You Congressman Lewis! Be blessed! #brotherprater
