Daily Devotion for January 4, 2024

30 years ago, I started my law enforcement career. Many people (including myself) wondered why in the world I applied for law enforcement. Little did I know how it would impact my entire life. God has allowed me to not only have a job, but be at a place that was used as my physical, mental, emotional & spiritual bootcamp. I have learnt a lot about others & myself. If I could give some advice to others, I would say, Whatever you do: 1) Be consistent 2)Work & do your best with all your heart 3) Never allow your feelings to override what God told you. 4) Be a person of your word 5) Let your actions tell folks you’re a Christian, not just your words. 6) Watch those who talk or gossip to you about others (Because they’ll talk or gossip to others about you). 7) Be on time (Which means arrive 5 minutes beforehand). 8) Don’t take the actions, words or foolishness from others personally 9) Stay focused (No matter what) 10) Always remember that you represent the company, your family, yourself & your church so…. WATCH HOW YOU ACT! 11) Always consult God about everything & 12) Do EVERYTHING unto the glory of God. I thank everyone who has been on this journey with me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you & I love you all more than words could say. Know that this is only the beginning! #The best is yet to come! Be blessed! #brotherprater
