Daily Devotion for August 10, 2023

Imagine going to the grocery store & seeing the shirt you like on sale for $5. Shoots! You’re so excited that you grab 4. When you give it to the cashier to scan it, it rings up $5,000 per shirt. Would you put it back? HECK YEAH!! See, when you realize the true price of the shirt, it won’t be as appealing as it was when it was “affordable”. You’d wish that someone told you the full price so you wouldn’t had gotten your hopes up. That’s the same way how satan handles sin. He makes it seem sooo appealing but he will not disclose the full price (or consequences) until you’ve paid for it, the money is out of your account & you’re charged for insufficient funds. No sin is worth paying for a temporary pleasure for permanent consequences. Know that there’s an undisclosed tag that you don’t see, but God is telling you to avoid the temptation & trust Him complete! #When you count up the cost, you’ll realize that it ain’t worth it!
