Daily Devotion for December 31, 2016

God wants you to know…. Fear not! For I am with you!! I NEVER LEFT! I’VE BEEN RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! Trust God in that situation! It’s ALREADY yours (in the spirit), but you’re going through the process to CLAIM it in REALITY!! Obedience & praise will give you the confidence you need to withstand any fear, disappointment, negativity, storm or past mistakes!! Watch what God is going to do, & IT AIN’T GONNA TAKE LONG!

Some people give up their dreams by giving in to their fears!! God did NOT give us the spirit of FEAR! Use what God gave you… FAITH!! #Chase  Your Dreams Instead of Your Dreams Chasing You!!

Daily Devotion for December 29, 2016

Yesterday, I took my son & his cousin to go eat. We were seated near the back of the restaurant. Some time later, a server was walking an older white couple by us and was seating them near us. I smiled & spoke to them but they didn’t speak or look my way. The older lady whispered to the server, then they IMMEDIATELY turned around & were escorted to the opposite area of us. All of this took place in front on my 11 year old son & his 14 year old cousin. I used that experience to have a teachable moment about racism. I told them… NEVER CHANGE OR BE ASHAMED OF WHO YOU ARE BECAUSE OF THE IGNORANCE OF OTHERS! If they (or anyone) don’t like (or acknowledge) you because of your race, you don’t get outside of YOUR character. Be proud of who you are & how God made you! You just PRAY for them & continue to be RESPECTFUL towards them. You are NOT the one with the problem, THEY ARE! I love & appreciate the young man God made me & blessed me to be. Besides being a father to my child, I am a CHILD of GOD!! You may see the hate of racism, BUT make sure the LOVE of God is MORE EXPOSED!!!

Daily Devotion for December 28, 2016

You never know what God can do if you give up! Giving up is a way of telling God that your problems are BIGGER than Him or He CAN’T fix it! Giving up is like turning off the t.v. at the beginning of a basketball game & the team is down by only 1 point! Look back at ALL the other times when your back was against the wall & God made a way for you! The SAME God that did it then CAN do it AGAIN. But you’ll never know what all God can do if you give up! God didn’t bring you this far to leave you! DON’T GIVE UP! #IT AIN’T OVER!!

Daily Devotion for December 27, 2016

In a football game, many people praise or acknowledge the quarterback. The quarterback is the leader of the team. He tells the offensive players which plays will be performed. When the highlights of the game is shown, you see the long passes, greatest catches or best runners because of the quarterback. But as great or valuable a quarterback may be, he can NOT perform without the CENTER. The center is the player who puts the ball in play by giving the ball to the quarterback. The CENTER not only puts the ball in motion, but he protect the quarterback & receives the trust from him. In the game of life, you may see others who get the attention or praise… Don’t worry about it! Know that you are apart of the team. You are being groomed for your quarterback position IF you have the right CENTER, JESUS CHRIST. JESUS will protect you, cover you, guard you, but you have to follow His lead. Put your trust in your humble CENTER. Let JESUS be the CENTER of your life & you will not get sacked or hurt on the play!

Daily Devotion for December 26, 2016

Underneath anger may be HURT! The cashier with the bad attitude? What if she was molested throughout her teen years & she doesn’t trust anybody. What about that guy in the neighborhood with the foul mouth? What if he hadn’t seen or heard from his kids in years because the mother left town & took his kids. What about that troubled kid in middle school? He just loss BOTH his parents a month ago. What about that aunt everybody avoids? Noone realize that her husband is abusing her & she’s too scared to tell anyone.

Oftentimes people see the surface of a person but rarely take the time to find out why a person act the way they do. Never assume that a person’s behavior is without a cause.  Regardless if it’s anger or a smile on a person’s face, you never know what someone had went through or what they’re currently going through. That’s why we PRAY for EVERYBODY! The Bible tells us to even pray for our ENEMIES. Pray for those who despitefully use you. Sometime God has an unusual plan for you to minister or bring healing to those that others run from or ignore! Take the time to listen to someone & pray for EVERYONE!!!!
