Daily Devotion for September 29, 2023

Instead of trying to change that person, change who that person has access to (YOU)! Think about it! When a homeowner gets tired of getting their house broken into, they will change the locks, add security cameras, get a weapon, join a neighborhood watch &/or move to another location. You got to do some stuff different. Don’t be naive in thinking that everybody is a good person, you have to be the one to fix them or if you be good enough to them, they won’t do anything bad towards you. Look! This ain’t Mayberry & everybody ain’t like that harmless alcoholic named Otis from the Andy Griffin show. You got to understand that there are real people that satan will send that can destroy your life. Always go to God about every decision in your life & wait for His response. Just in case you don’t want to talk to God about it, then you already know your answer. Remember, warning comes before destruction & this may be the warning or red flag that God is sending you to protect you from something or someone He didn’t send to you. Be blessed! #brotherprater

Daily Devotion for September 28, 2023

Instead of focusing on what your enemy is doing, focus on what you ain’t doing or what you need to do. The energy we use to focus on our enemies was designed to use for the gifts & purpose God has for us. Although it may be annoying or get on that last good nerve of yours, stay about your Father’s business & let God handle those who dip their nose in your business. Remember, your enemies have no value until you pay them with your attention! Be blessed! #brotherprater

Daily Devotion for September 26, 2023

We often build relationships within our marriages, our courtships, our friendships or even at our workplaces, but we very, VERY rarely build relationships with our families. Sometimes we take our families for granted (or we be taken for granted) & we don’t think about the hurt or trust that’s broken. But think about this…. The Bible tells us how to choose our spouses, how to choose our friends & how to choose financial investments, but nowhere in the Bible does it tells us or teach us how to choose the family we’re born into. So, if we don’t have a choice, that means that God has a purpose for us to be in the family we’re in. Continue to love & pray for them. Don’t be embarrassed or feel like your family is the only one that has problems or dysfunctional people in it. Just look in the genealogy of Jesus & know that He understands what you’re dealing with. #I pray that your family be heal, that conflicts end & forgiveness takes place… In Jesus’ Name, Amen! Be blessed! #brotherprater
