Why argue with someone who ain’t listening to you? The only thing you’ll do is anger them more & frustrate yourself. Even if you have an honest motive, if you’re not prayerful about it, it could backfire. That’s why you have to ask God to set the atmosphere for peace. Were you ever bullied as a kid? That bully would intimidate you and put fear upon you to make you do whatever they wanted you to do. Then years later, you see that bully & you see that the bully looks like a little wimp. You think to yourself, “I wish they would try to do something now!” You’re no longer in fear of them & you ready to face them NOW! Even though it’s the same bully, what helped you overcome your fear of that bully is… You realized who you are NOW! In the past, your fears made you see the bully & it blinded you from seeing who you were & who you were becoming. An old commercial I saw as a kid showed a young skinny boy say that he may be small & weak BUT he’s drinking MILK. And as he continues to drink MILK, he will BECOME BIG & STRONG! In life, the devil may be bullying you, START DRINKING (SPIRITUAL) MILK. It will strengthen your body, help you to see who you are, who you’re becoming & who you belong to! No longer allow the devil to intimidate you or bully you any longer. Remember when you would go to big mama’s house & you ask her to fix your favorite dish? You look for the ingredients for her to cook it but don’t see it. She tell you, “Don’t worry! She can make it without them.” You remember that big mama is such a skillful cook, she can make hot water cornbread with a brick! When she finished, it tasted just a good as you remembered, even without the obvious ingredients. She had all she needed, just THE KITCHEN & OPPORTUNITY! You make go to God to fix your problems but get discouraged because you don’t see the ingredients needed to fix your problems.
