Daily Devotion for October 25, 2018

Last night, I was walking & a black cat crossed my path. I know some people would have ran or went the other way. My question is.. If you were taking your sick child to the E.R., a black cat crossed your path, you go the opposite direction & saw ANOTHER black cat, what would you do? See, the devil wants you to live your life based upon fear (phobias), superstitions & bad luck. As a Believer of Jesus Christ, let me remind you that you do NOT have bad luck, good luck or any other luck. You are BLESSED! The only thing that would be considered a “Bad luck” is if Jesus had not chosen to die for our sins. Know that God did NOT give you the spirit of fear. He gave you DOMINION over a black cat just like a white or grey cat. So, the next time you break a mirror, grip it tighter next time; if someone accidentally sweeps your foot with a broom, wipe it off; when Friday the 13th comes, know that the 13th is another day that the Lord had made. Let us REJOICE & be glad in it! #Protected by the Blood of Jesus! Be blessed! #brotherprater

Daily Devotion for October 23, 2018

I know it seems like it’s one thing after another. The devil is fighting hard & the storms of life appear GREATER than what you can handle & you feel empty & can’t take anymore… Please, Don’t throw in the towel & give up! God promised you that He would not allow more on you than you could handle (with His strength). He told you that He would NEVER leave nor abandon you during any situation! Allow God’s Word be a reminder that you will NOT be consumed in the fire. Use the towel to wipe your sweat & tear to help put the fires out! Just like the 3 Hebrews boys who were in the fiery furnace, 3 went in, but they saw 4. The 4th person they saw in the fire was God Himself. When they pulled the 3 Hebrew boys out, God stayed in to protect you when you go through the fire. Just like the Hebrew boys came out the fire, SO WILL YOU! JUST DON’T THROW IN THE TOWEL & GIVE UP! Be blessed #brotherprater

Daily Devotion for October 22, 2018

One day, a young graduate received 3 gifts for his graduation. The 1st gift came from his favorite uncle. It was a big nicely wrapped box. He opened it up & there was a ticket to meet his favorite business author with an autographed copy of his new book. WOW! The 2nd gift came from his father. It was smaller than the 1st gift but was decorated better than the 1st gift. He opened the gift & saw a set of keys to a brand new car & $1,000 cash. He boy fainted! When he came to himself, everybody reminded him that he had 1 more gift. The last gift was in an old wrinkled up brown paper bag. There were no ribbons or decorations on the old bag. Just a few written words on the bag that read, “LOVE GRANDPA!” When he opened it up, there was an old beat up Bible with a mirror taped to it! Grandpa told his grandson, “Enjoy the gifts your uncle & your daddy gave you, but NEVER forget the gifts that I gave you!” That Bible had carried me during the toughest times in my life & got me where I am today. This is the SAME Bible that MY FATHER (your great grandfather) gave me & I saved it to give it to my 1st grandchild.. YOU! Don’t take the words in this book lightly or think it’s not important! That same Bible I gave you, helped me to raise your uncle & daddy so they could give you what they gave you.” The grandson hugged his grandpa tightly, then asked, “What’s the mirror for?” Grandpa told him, “When you read God’s Word, read it out loud to the person you see in the mirror (YOURSELF). If no one ever gives you an encouraging word, AT LEAST God gave it to you from His own words!”
May this story encourage you! Put God 1st in your plans & He will take care of your plans! Written by Brother Prater

You may have to press or crawl your way IN church today, but may God give you the springs and strength to run OUT of church shouting for joy, deliverance, healing (whatever you need)! #May your exit be different than your entrance!

Daily Devotion for October 20, 2018

It’s not what your enemies do that will destroy your blessings but how your RESPOND to what they do that will destroy it! Retaliation NEVER helps you but hurts your blessings, hardens your heart (creates unforgiveness) & damages your character. Instead of retaliating, TATTLETALE them to God, sit your tail down & pray for them! You better SNITCH before God gets His switch & give you a country whooping! Remember, tell God & let Him handle them! #Snitch (on them) or Switch (on you)! It’s Your Choice! Be blessed! #brotherprater
