Daily Devotion for June 29, 2018

Yesterday, my son told me that while he was out, he saw the old place I use to take him as a kid that we called MR BEAR. Mr. Bear was an area that my son & I would walk & talk. When he would get tired of walking, I would carry him in my arms, on my neck or back until we made it to our destination- An artificial bear we named Mr. Bear. When my son saw Mr. Bear, it brought back so many great memories from his childhood that he & I would share that brought a smile to have face as he spoke with me. In life, you have to reflect back on where God brought you from, when He carried you & the conversations that God would share with you. It will help you to remember how loved you are by God & how He wants to build lasting memories with you. Whenever you’re feeling discouraged, alone or afraid, God will carry you safely when you feel weak or tired! Don’t forget your Mr. Bear journey!

Prince was one of the greatest entertainers. Besides being a great performer & song writer, he knew how to pick great musicians because he was a great musician himself! He experienced many (if not more) of the same sacrifices, discipline, struggles & limitations other musicians or performers do & he set the bar for others to inspire to be. You may feel alone or as if noone understands or cares. Know the Prince of Peace (Jesus Christ) understands. Although He was fully God, He was fully human. He experienced the same life trials & problems that we all go through, yet He overcame them all without sin. He relied on the Heavenly Father as the source & answers to EVERYTHING in life. When you’re facing the temptations, struggles or challenges of life, use the same example that our Savior Jesus did (Go to the Father & walk in obedience). Jesus set the example for you to follow so you won’t travel alone! Be blessed! #brotherprater

Jesus used mud & spit on the blind man, sent him to wash his face to be healed. The blind man obeyed & was healed! Don’t refuse or worry about the technique Jesus will use to bring healing in your life. Trust & obey Him regardless of what method He uses! Remember, God will use the resource you least expect to blow your mind because He IS the ULTIMATE source! Be blessed! #brotherprater
