I woke up this morning with a sharp pain in my eye. Because I was familiar with the pain, I knew an eyelash was on my eye. I looked on my eye & couldn’t see the eyelash. After dealing with the nagging problem for several minutes, it hit me, did I tell God about it? Immediately, I told God that I can’t find the eyelash on my eye & I need Him to remove it. As I was placing the tissue on my eye, I felt my hand being guided towards the same area. When I removed the tissue & looked at it, I saw not 1 but 2 very small eyelashes on the tissue. In life, just because you’re familiar with (or use to) a certain problem, it does NOT mean that you still have to deal with it ALONE! Maybe you’re still dealing with that problem because you haven’t given it to God. God knows where the source of the problem is & how to fix or remove it. Your experiences will not solve the problem but make it harder to stop & give it to God. It doesn’t take God long to move when you give it to Him. So, what are you waiting for. Give it to Him! You let the devil (& others) discourage you, make you give up, make you feel insecure & they tell you that you can’t do it or you’ll never be nothing! You easily listen to what other people say & the bad part is.. you accept it & talk negative about yourself. Listen! What the devil (or what people say) are only SUGGESTIONS, not FACTS! You don’t have to accept it. From now on, examine what you listen to & what you say about yourself. Are you hearing it from the opinions from others or the Facts from God! Spend quality time with God. Not only He will reveal who He is but He’ll reveal who you are to Him. Imagine being in a relationship with someone but whenever you wanted to talk to them, you have to contact their secretary & give your message to the secretary, so they can give the message to the one you love. Sooner or later, you’ll realize… THAT AIN’T NO RELATIONSHIP! Although you may seek a Word from others or listen to people when they tell you that God told them to tell you something, know that God wants to talk to you DIRECTLY. He wants a personal relationship with you & for you to know Him for yourself. See, when you seek others, they may tell you from their opinion, from their experiences, from their emotions or they may have a hidden motive. Also, the more you seek others, the less you seek God, then you’d allow that person to take the place of God (or they would become your god). The only way you can get to know God (for yourself) is to spend quality time in pray & study His Word. So, fired the secretary of your insecurity, your past mistakes or any other idol that is blocking you from God & start fresh intimate direct relationship with Him!
