The 1st step in not allowing people to get to you is… Accepting who they REALLY are! If you continue to be in denial or refuse to see & accept a person’s TRUE character, you will open yourself to allow them to anger you, use you, break your heart, or disappoint you! God will ALWAYS provide signs & opportunities for you to get the answers you need in learning about others (& yourself), but you have to WAIT for the answers & ACCEPT it. Ask God to help you to see a person for WHO THEY ARE instead of WHO YOU WANT THEM TO BE then He can protect your heart to know the TRUTH!
