Have you ever had a person to call you only when they wanted something? When things are going good, you don’t hear from them, but when they want something, they blow your phone up! The strange thing is, if you need them, they are nowhere to be found. Does that make you feel used, unappreciated, disrespected or unloved? That’s a dysfunctional or 1 sided relationship! Think about how you treat God! Do you want Him for what He can do or do you want Him for who He is? Realize God’s grace & mercy is a FREE gift that none of us deserve. But because of His love, He gives it to us anyway! Evaluate your relationship with God! Is it selfish or selfless? Do you love Him with ALL your heart? It’s ok to get advice from people you know, but 1st find out.. DO THEY KNOW YOU? Do they see you as who you WERE instead of WHO YOU ARE (NOW)? Are they pushing you towards your purpose or are they pushing you towards the purpose THEY want for you? Do they challenge your mind for your dreams or CHANGE your mind on your dreams? Be aware of who you listen to! Even with family, some may only see you as their family member & not the adult you became! Ask God for wisdom in knowing people’s words, integrity & motives. He will reveal who you should accept & who you should deny. Don’t take it personally what God reveal. Be thankful that He is protecting His investment… YOU!!! Be blessed!
