Daily Devotion for April 10, 2017
When a person is use to emotional or verbal abuse, not only it affects their identity or view of themselves, but they will expect (look forward) in getting abused within relationships, families, or even the church (spiritual abuse). The abuse becomes the “NORMAL” to them. If they aren’t being put down, belittle, yelled at, felt guilty by others, they begin to question if something is wrong with them. The abuse from others will cause them to start abusing themselves. Listen, God did not create you for abuse or harsh treatment. God made you valuable (after His own character), worth & with purpose. Although God’s Word will correct us, God’s motive in dealing with us is…LOVE!!! God doesn’t put us down, to build up others. You are just as important to Him as anyone else. Know who you are in God’s eyes & to God & you’ll realize how you suppose to be treated! Be blessed!
