Daily Devotion for December 20, 2016
To your parents, you’re just your mama (or daddy) baby. To your children, you’re just their A.T.M. To your siblings, you’re JUST their peanut head brother (or sister). To your family, you’re that relative who they call when they want something. In your neighborhood, your past mistakes are what everybody always talk about everytime they see you. Depending upon who you ask, there may be different answers about who you are. No matter who they are or what others say, you NEVER base who you are, your identity, worth, or value from other people. See, people can be selfish, judgmental or opinionated. You can help someone for years & then you tell them no 1 time, they will talk about you like a dog. That’s why you base your identity from the eyes of God, not people or your circumstances. God made you in His Image & Likeness, not their’s. He saw your potentials even when you or others didn’t see it. He knew your past, BUT He also knew your FUTURE! Don’t concern yourself in trying to prove or live for others. Some people will only see you as who you are to them, not who you are to Him (God)! Life’s purpose is revealed when you know who He is & He will show you who you are!
