When you arrive at a red light, you are suppose to stop. But if you’re at a green light, although it is your turn to go, you are to proceed with caution. Even if you’re an excellent driver & obey all traffic laws, the MAIN focus is watching for the other drivers. You must watch for those who are wreckless or unattractive or deal with the consequences of getting into an accident. As you travel in life, you may be a great person, but you MUST not assume that EVERYONE will have the SAME morals & ethics as you do. Just because someone goes to church or has a position (in church), is NOT a reason to let your guards down & automatically give them your heart or trust! Your heart or trust MUST be EARNED, NOT GIVEN. 1 Timothy 5:22 tells us to not be quick to give to people when they have not earned it! The devil wants you to be in an emotional accident that will leave you damaged spiritually! Ask God for wisdom & a discerning spirit in dealing with others to protect YOU!
Remember, being a DEFENSIVE driver is not just behind the wheels… it’s a part of LIFE!!
