If you build your self esteem & worth from the opinion of people, you will need to rely upon their opinions to continue to build you up or define you. It will give you a false or distorted view of who you are. People’s opinions are sometimes from their own selfish motives, jealousy, insecurities. There are people who will belittle or discourage you because they don’t have it & don’t want you to get it.They may reject or leave you because you’re different or you chose to want better for yourself. They just don’t understand who you REALLY are. Listen, you are God’s creation, not THEIRS. God made you in His image & likeness. Your personality, talents & desires are things that God gifted within you. Allow God’s Word to influence who you are.
